JVSI’s programmes are designed around practical community needs—strengthening farmer institutions, conserving natural resources and expanding opportunities for employment and self-employment.
JVSI promotes and supports Farmer Producer Organisations to strengthen sustainable agriculture and improve farmer incomes. Support includes board capacity building, farmer exposure, financial activities, input supply, technical services, networking and convergence with government.
The Integrated Livelihood Development through WADI Approach seeks to improve the lives of tribal families through orchard development and sustainable agriculture. The content describes 500 acres of orchard development for 500 beneficiaries, alongside soil-water measures, food and nutrition security and women’s empowerment.
Training and exposure for farmers to adopt new technologies and increase income, with emphasis on managerial and technical skills for extension officers, managers, scientists and administrators supporting sustainable agriculture.
