SKILL DEVELOPMENT TRAINING PROGRAMME

Kushal Yuva Programme (KYP) is a part of one of the “7 commitments'' namely “Aarthik Hal, Yuvaon ko Bal''. This programme targets all aspirants in the age group of 15-25 years. Minimum qualification for this program is passing 10th class. Through this programme, BSDM intends to enhance the employability of the targeted youth of Bihar.

Via this program training is provided in bamboo and cane craft making, Sewing machine operation and food processing to marginalised communities. This initiative is supported by NabSkill Training Program (Sponsored by Nabard, Patna )

Another program under this initiative is Vocational Training Provider (VTP) Under Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship,Govt. of India.The objectives of the scheme are:

• To provide vocational training to school dropouts, existing workers, ITI graduates, etc. to improve their employability by optimally utilizing the infrastructure available in Govt., private institutions and the Industry. Existing skills of the persons can also be tested and certified under this scheme.
• To build capacity in the area of development of competency standards, course curriculum, learning material and assessment standards in the country.
